Prabal Gurung A/W '15
It's that time of the year again so of course we are back to present you our New York Fashion Week favourites!
Geometric prints were what caught my eye this season, perfectly exhibited in the Mara Hoffman and Zimmerman shows. I particularly loved how Hoffman used lighter pastel colours whereas most designers sided with the darker tones for the A/W line. Evening wear was also a big theme, shown perfectly by Dennis Basso and Marchesa, who took the looks further by giving a sultry 20s theme to the dresses. Many designers such as Rachel Zoe also opted to add elegant fur in mind of Winter season.

Big structured coats and even bigger furs ruled the NYFW A/W '15 runway as seen on most of my favourites. DKNY and Jason Wu taught us that block colors and high necklines never go out of style, while Altuzarra showed that pastels, slit skirts, and high boots are all you need during the cold winter months. The Rodarte show was the highlight of the week for me, going against dominant trends and deciding instead to opt for tight leather as a necessity this Winter - a sentiment that I can appreciate.
