Kurobuta (Marble Arch)

With the intention of having a romantic dinner date for two, Bundi and I headed out to Kurobuta by Marble Arch.

Walking into Kurobuta is what I would like to call an interesting experience. It's not as weird and wacky as some other places in London, but you get a clash of 'we're-just-your-friendly-neighbourhood-dine-out' with a touch of 'exclusive restaurant alert'. Regardless, we felt very at home and quickly scanned the menu and got our chopsticks at the ready. It being our first times at the restaurant, our waitress was extremely friendly and recommended a few dished to us. We started with the Sweet Potato and Soba-ko fries which we began nibbling as soon as they came out.

Following this we had the Beef Tataki with Garlic Crisps, BBQ Pork Belly in Steamed Buns with Spicy Peanut Soy Sauce (my life!!), Roasted Chilean Seabass and Sweet and Sour Snow Crab Sushi.

The restaurant fully upholds the belief that sharing is caring, and for two people they recommended 5-6 dishes, which we thought was perfect. Your food is served to you in such a way that you are never really waiting and always have something on the table. I'll definitely be heading back soon even if its just for those pork buns!

the tall.
